Our Favorite Sites:

Jamie's latest project is the Polka Dot Banner where authors gather and talk about their books. Readers are invited to register for giveaways and free books. Jamie also manages and designed the new Pennwriters site. Pennwriters is a Pennsylvania-based writer's organization and the site is a great place writers and book friends.

The Homeschool Hotline our message board and homeschooling info site for Erie County Pennsylvania and its neighbors had to be disbanded due to hackers. It's sad that these hackers had nothing better to do with their time than to prevent a small group of people from having a message board. They seemed to think it was a great accomplishment. Apparently it is a great waste of talent since they probably could be doing much more with their skills than hacking sites. You can now also access the Homeschool Hotline via an email mailing list (or e-loop). To join, send an email to: HomeschoolHotline-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

Jamie Saloff's site based on The Publishing Center: How to Start One in Your School (Beeline Books - Heinemann) -a book describing how to help kids' make books from their creative writing - is available at this link, however, if you'd like more info, I recommend you email Jamie directly.

POD Book Designs is Jamie's company which helps authors who want to be their own publisher via a Print On Demand services and thus side-step the royality-eating subsidy companies. She walks authors through the process step-by-step showing them how to keep ALL of their profits. Each book is lovingly created with an artist's eye for detail. If you'd like more information on this amazing process, please stop by this site.

Iaulanda's Storytellers is a site dedicated to the Christmas ornament dolls created by Iaulanda Turner Downey from 1963-1978. This site is always changing and adding something new. Jamie's cousin, Kerry, also has a site set up called Storytellerdolls.com.

Jamie's wrote a book about holistic healing of the body, mind, and spirit. Jamie is a cancer survior who has had two near death experiences. Having grown up around sickness and death, her upbeat messages are sure to be widely read. Her latest book is Transformational Healing: Five Surprisingly Simple Keys Designed to Redirect Your Life Toward Wellness, Purpose, and Prosperity. You can also access her site world-wide via MakeThePainStop.com (where she offers free gifts) or iCanTransform.com.

Cowan Pottery (one of our very first sites) is temporarily closed except for it's main door during a total reconstruction of the site. The site compliments the book authored by Tim and Jamie Saloff, The Collector's Encyclopedia of Cowan Pottery published by Collector Books.

Tom Bird Seminars, Inc. is a distance learning program for writers and our top feature site. This site has grown to over 100 pages offering Tom's books and services as well as archives of his newsletters and a very unusual pictorial bio.
